What is the definition of 'dedication'? I am not sure how Noah Webster put it, but this past weekend I was privileged to observe its spirit on the fields at Wea Park in Lafayette, IN. It was time for the 2008 Bat Shack Classic! Adverse weather conditions (frigid temperatures, wind that would know your socks off and capitulating rain and snow, did not deter twenty teams of very dedicated young ladies, their coaches, families and a most candid group of umpires who turned out Friday night through Sunday and played some amazing ball!
