Mr. Harrison 2009

What is "Mr. Harrison"?  It was an evening of great fun & laughter with a bunch of young men confident enough to strut their stuff -- some serious and some completely willing to laugh at themselves and allow us to howl along with them!  We were treated to a variety of  comedy, hoola hooping, an 'unforgettable' rendition of Flashdance, juggling, karate, a linebacker in a tutu, the jumpin' sounds of a trumpet and a swoon-inducing singing of "Everything"--just to name a few.  Suffice it to say, my sides hurt when I left for the evening and I smiled all the way home.

And these guys didn't do this just simply to get their moment in the spotlight--the evening's festivities, along with other activities hosted by HHS Student Council and SADD and in conjunction with similar efforts by the students of West Lafayette HS, raised over $9,000 to initiate the Kate Baker Memorial Scholarship in memory of their beloved HHS classmate who was killed by a drunk driver this past November.

It was my privilege and pleasure to photograph the evening for them.  Without further adieu, here's a few highlights from the 2009 Mr. Harrison Pageant:  (to view the complete collection of images from the evening, simply double click on any of the photos--this will take you to Flickr--then click on the Mr. Harrison set).  Enjoy...

Harrison Swimming & Diving

Well, I have been absent from my blog for awhile now--much of my time has been spent poolside with the tremendous Raider Swimmers & Divers.  Here are a few shots from throughout the season.  To view the entire collection of images from the season, simply double click on any one of the swimming photos.

Ben -- Senior 09 -- Coffee table book

Here at THG, I love working images into coffee table books and albums -- this way the family has every finished image from a session without having to add on to the house to create enough wall space for display!  And no  more losing the loose images in a drawer where they get stashed until someone can get around to framing or archiving them.  (Let's face it, anyone with a high school senior is busy enough without making image display burdensome!).

Here is a book I put together today for Ben (all except the final pages, as the video storage is just shy of enough).

Let me know what you think:

Morgan -- Senior 09

Here's my beautiful senior lady Morgan!  I can hardly believe my daughter is almost finished with high school and will soon be moving several states away to college!

Well, we just had to take the opportunity to get out and get a few images with fresh snow on the ground.  Of course this may have been the speediest set I have ever shot--it was freezing and we both had snow in our shoes!

Brad '09 -- Sneak Peek!

Wow!  It's been awhile, but I am back in the swing of things here at THG Photography!

First up, Brad a tremendous senior student out at Harrison.  Brad wins the "Icicle Award" for braving the low temps of an Indiana winter to get out and get a few shots in his handsome letter jacket (Raider football player, yeah!).
