Heeeeeeeeere's Alex!

What do you get when you put together an athlete, a scholar and a statesman, add in a heaping dose of humor and a healthy portion of creative thinking? In this case you get a "who" not a "what" -- and that "who" is Alex!  

I had the honor of capturing just a bit of that incredible personality (and stunning blue eyes to boot!!) last week as Alex's senior year at Harrison draws to a close.  Although there is much work to do yet with his varied collection of images, here's a quick sneak peek -- just a little taste of what's to come!

Harrison Prom 2009

So much fun!!  I had the honor of photographing my daughter Morgan, her fabulous boyfriend Chase and their friends as they headed out to the Harrison Prom last weekend.  I couldn't have asked for a better group to "play  with" -- parents included, we got them in on some of the fun.

SNAP*SHOT! Premiers at HHS After-Prom Party!

Want to have the time of your life?  Go hang out with 250 teenagers from 1:00-3:00 am (yes, it was AM!) and give them a place to ham it up!  Needless to say, there was a lot of laughter!

Harrison High School's After-Prom Committee graciously invited us at THG Photography to make the rookie run of THG's "SNAP*SHOT!" at this year's after-prom party.  What is SNAP*SHOT!, you ask?  Well, SNAP*SHOT! is a photographer controlled mini studio setup photoboothy thing modeled after The Image is Found's CRAZYBOOTH!  It's quick strobes, controlled chaos and a whole lot of fun!

Yeah, the kids got in there and seemed to have a blast.  Kept us snappin' all night!  Here's a little taste -- if you want to see them all, simply double click on any of the images and that will connect you with the entire collection on Flickr. Harrison HS presents "Anything Goes"

This weekend Graf Auditorium at HHS is host to the madcap production "Anything Goes".  Full of fun, frolic and high seas adventure, the students of Harrison do a bang up job of reminding us that when it comes to love, indeed, "anything goes"!  Here's a few highlights -- to see the entire collection of images simply double click on any of these and go to the HHS Anything Goes set.  Enjoy!

Mr. Harrison 2009

What is "Mr. Harrison"?  It was an evening of great fun & laughter with a bunch of young men confident enough to strut their stuff -- some serious and some completely willing to laugh at themselves and allow us to howl along with them!  We were treated to a variety of  comedy, hoola hooping, an 'unforgettable' rendition of Flashdance, juggling, karate, a linebacker in a tutu, the jumpin' sounds of a trumpet and a swoon-inducing singing of "Everything"--just to name a few.  Suffice it to say, my sides hurt when I left for the evening and I smiled all the way home.

And these guys didn't do this just simply to get their moment in the spotlight--the evening's festivities, along with other activities hosted by HHS Student Council and SADD and in conjunction with similar efforts by the students of West Lafayette HS, raised over $9,000 to initiate the Kate Baker Memorial Scholarship in memory of their beloved HHS classmate who was killed by a drunk driver this past November.

Ben -- Senior 09 -- Coffee table book

Here at THG, I love working images into coffee table books and albums -- this way the family has every finished image from a session without having to add on to the house to create enough wall space for display!  And no  more losing the loose images in a drawer where they get stashed until someone can get around to framing or archiving them.  (Let's face it, anyone with a high school senior is busy enough without making image display burdensome!).  

Here is a book I put together today for Ben (all except the final pages, as the video storage is just shy of enough).
